CVDennis Day 030256-2699 dennis.day@sdu.dk Associate Professor, Institute for Language and Communication, University of Southern DenmarkRESEARCH CONTRIBUTIONMy current research interests center around relations between language, culture and social organization as these relations are actualized in naturally occurring communication particularly within workplaces. Specifically I am working on 1) methodological issues concerning participatory design and language, 2) the role of texts in the practical accomplishment of organizational life, 3) the communicative situation for the hearing impaired, and 4) the notion of communicative competence as a function of situated practical activity.
